11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
University Union, Susquehanna Room
Students will experience the devastating effects of drinking and driving with the National Make A Difference "Save A Life Tour." The new Drunk Driving Simulator featured in the "Save A Life" Tour, uses the same state-of-the-art technology that is currently being used to train many of our nation's military and police. Participants experience first-hand the dulling effects of alcohol as the simulator adjusts your blood alcohol levels and forces the participant to feel these effects on their driving. The simulator fully immerses participants in a totally unscripted environment with a 1800 field of vision, and features over 87 miles of roadway; intelligent, random traffic; and, fully controllable environmental variables for time of day and weather conditions. In addition, the program includes projection screens for observers detailing both the driver’s view and a helicopter view, and informational video presentations.
