Admission and Audition
Audition Information
Students interested in majoring in dance at Towson University participate in an audition as part of the application process. Students are encouraged to audition early to ensure consideration of a talent scholarship. Auditions will be held on the following dates in the Towson University Center for the Arts, Room 1003. Auditions begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at approximately 2 p.m. Dancers should come prepared with appropriate dance clothing, including shoes. Experienced dancers may also bring pointe shoes.

Audition Materials must be received by Friday, February 19, 2010
Closing with a 2 P.M. of the Senior Seminar Final Concert mainly reserved for the perspectiive students and parents.

Audition materials must be received by April 9, 2010
Closing with a 2 P.M. show of "Spring Mix" mainly reserved for the perspective students and parents.

Audition Day Information
The audition includes the following:
Students participate in ballet barre, ballet and optional point combinations.

Students participate in modern dance center work, modern dance and improvisation combinations. Following this, the faculty will deliberate.
- Selected students will have a 5-10 minute interview with a dance faculty member.
Directions to the Center for the Arts
From I-95 (northbound and southbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 west (toward Towson). Take exit 25, Charles Street. Proceed 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard and proceed to the first stoplight on Osler Drive. The Center for the Arts is located on the left, at the corner of Osler Drive and Cross Campus Drive. Please contact the Dance Department for parking instructions.
