The Tiger To-Do List information listed below and on the related links is for new students entering TU during fall 2008. Information for the 2009 Tiger To-Do List will be available in April 2009.
In order to make your transition to TU as smooth as possible, we have
created the 2008 Tiger To-Do List with important tasks for you to
complete before you start classes in August. We encourage you to
visit campus over the summer to take care of the items on your To-Do
List.

Complete During June
|
Step 1: Immunization Requirements Deadline: June 2
You must complete and return your mandatory health and immunization records to avoid jeopardizing your class schedule. |
Step 2: Activate Student Computing and E-mail Account Deadline: June 2
The university will use your student computing and e-mail account to communicate with you on official matters. Your student account provides access to information about your course schedule, billing, financial aid and important e-mail notifications from TU. |
Step 3: Academic Interest Form Deadline: June 9
Your fall term class schedule will be created for you using the Academic Interest Form. You can view your schedule through your student computing account beginning August 15. No schedule changes may be made prior to Welcome to Towson. |
Step 4: Schedule Placement Testing Deadline: Within two weeks of notification letter
If required, additional information will be mailed to you regarding test dates. Class registration is restricted until testing is complete. |
Step 5:
Accept Financial Aid Package Deadline:
Within two weeks
of notification letter
You must accept or decline your financial aid offer within two weeks of
receiving your notification letter. |
Step 6: Request Disability Support Services Deadline: ASAP
If you plan to request accommodations, contact DSS at 410-704-2638 or 410-704-4423 (TDD). |
Step 7: Register for Emergency Text Messaging Deadline: ASAP
Sign up for the Campus Emergency Notification System. In case of emergency, text messages will be delivered instantly to your mobile device. |

Register for Student Organizations Deadline: July

Register with student groups in which you are interested and receive notification about fall kickoff meetings, events and other information. |
Step 9:
Get Your OneCard Deadline: July 31
It is essential that you carry a OneCard. This card allows you to gain door access, use your meal plan, purchase meals in dining facilities and perform a variety of other activities on campus. |

Step 10: Complete Housing Vaccine and Move-In Requirements Deadline: August 19
You must complete your Meningococcal (Meningitis) Vaccine form BEFORE you can move into your room. |
Step 11: Complete Online AlcoholEDU Prevention Program Deadline: August 25
Every first-year student must complete AlcoholEDU for College before arriving on campus. You will be notified by e-mail in July about the course and how to register. |
Step 12: Attend Welcome to Towson (Orientation) Events Deadline: August 28
Mark your calendar now for TU's new student orientation. Please reserve Opening Weekend, August 28-30, for key activities. |
Step 13: Submit Final High School Transcript Deadline: August 29
Be sure to submit your final high school transcript sealed in your high school's official envelope to Towson's Office of Admissions. |
Step 14: Determine Parking Eligibility Deadline: August 29
Freshman resident students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus, but may apply for permits through a wait list, if available. Off-campus students may purchase a permit online through the Auxiliary Services Business Office. |

Pay Tuition Bill
Deadline: September 10
Your 2008 fall term bill is due. Payment options
are enclosed on the Tuition Bill information sheet. It is imperative that you adhere to the bill payment
deadline. |
Step 16:
Purchase or
Change Meal Plan Deadline: September 10
On-campus resident students can change meal plans until
the end of the business day on September 10. |
