The Office of Student Conduct and
Civility Education is located in the
Administration Building, Room 236

The Office of Student Conduct and Civility Education, in partnership with the university community:

Promotes learning and student development by adjudicating alleged student misconduct.

Contributes to the educational mission and core values of the university community through adjudication of the Code of Student Conduct.

Assures standards of acceptable behavior that protects students' health, safety, welfare, and property.

Responsibilities of the office staff include interviewing and advising parties involved in disciplinary proceedings; selecting, supervising, training, and advising student conduct aides and the hearing officer; reviewing the decisions of the hearing officer and recommending sanctions to the Vice President for Student Affairs; informally resolving cases not referred to university hearings; maintaining all student disciplinary records; monitoring and suggesting revisions in student conduct policies; facilitating student appeals; and serving as a resource to faculty and staff regarding student misbehavior.
